Know how many people are in every room — live.
VenueCounter turns standard IP cameras into live people counters. Track entries and exits at every door, watch occupancy from your iPhone, and get a spreadsheet report for every service or event.
Built for churches, private event halls, and school auditoriums. Works with standard IP cameras.
Counts people. Not faces.
VenueCounter is not a security system, and it is not facial recognition. It's strictly a body-count tool that helps churches, facilities, and venues steward their attendance and track their analytics more accurately and efficiently, with better reporting every week.
No facial recognition — we never identify who anyone is.
No recording — video is processed on-site in real time and isn't saved. Only the counts leave the building.
Not invasive — just anonymous totals: how many people came in and how many went out.
Built to respect your people's privacy. This isn't Big Brother — it's a better headcount.
How it works
Camera → count → live dashboard
No clickers, no clipboard tallies. Put cameras where people come and go, and VenueCounter does the counting.
- Step 1
Connect your cameras
Mount standard IP cameras over doors, rooms, or lines and connect them over your local network using their RTSP stream. One venue can run many cameras.
- Step 2
VenueCounter counts
People are detected and given a temporary, anonymous ID within each camera's view, so every crossing of the line you draw is tallied as an entry or exit.
- Step 3
Watch live, export reports
See live occupancy on desktop or iPhone, get alerts when attendance moves, and download a spreadsheet report for every service or event.
Features
Built for venues with more than one door
Real venues run several counts at once. VenueCounter treats cameras and reports as separate building blocks, so you can measure exactly what you need.
Multi-camera venues
Count every door and zone at once — sanctuary doors, kids wing, youth room, café — each camera with its own count line.
Many reports per venue
Run kids attendance, youth headcount, and coffee bar traffic or queue length side by side. Combine several door cameras into one report.
Live view on your iPhone
The same live dashboard on your phone. Add it to your Home Screen and check the count from the aisle, the lobby, or the green room.
Push alerts that matter
Get notified when attendance is up or down versus last week, or when you hit an all-time record. Thresholds are set per venue.
Spreadsheet exports
Every report run becomes a clean spreadsheet: totals, peak and peak time, and a timeline of entries, exits, and occupancy.
Uses affordable IP cameras
Works with standard PoE IP cameras — no proprietary door sensors or specialty hardware to buy.
